Historic District Commission 11-7-06 (regular meeting)
CALL MEETING TO ORDER

Chairperson Macro called the meeting to order at 8:57 p.m.

2.      ROLL CALL

Members present:        Chairperson Macro, Commissioner Pitcock,
Commissioner Fitzpatrik, Commissioner Futtner, and
Commissioner Burnham

Alternates absent:      Commissioner Oates, Commissioner Klein and Commissioner
        Jennings

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:

None

APPROVAL OF MINUTES PREVIOUS MEETING OF:

Commissioner Pitcock made a motion to approve the regular meeting minutes of October 3, 2006; seconded by Commissioner Futtner; the motion carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS

None

OLD BUSINESS:

A.      Review and discussed the draft letter to the Henderson’s.  The modifications discussed will be incorporated in the letter stating that no action is required and will be sent.

B.      The commission discussed the Certificate of Appropriateness for the DiMudugno
fence.  A vote was taken to deny the application.  This was agreed unanimously.  After discussion, a letter will be sent suggesting an alternate fence or a hedge with a wire fence behind.

ADMINISTRATION

A.      Planning and Zoning indicated that very few properties in the district could be developed as interior lots.  Historic District Commission is concerned about the potential for senior housing as a significant challenge to the integrity of the Historic District Commission.

B.      Historic Resources Survey Forms are available.  Chairperson Macro requests comments.

8.      ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Fitzpatrick made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m.; seconded by Commissioner Pitcock; the motion carried unanimously.
